Egglescliffe Parish Council is a non-party-political small local authority and not centred on any local church. The Civil Parish is part of the Eaglescliffe ward of Stockton Borough Council, and is the first tier of local government.
Egglescliffe Parish Council was established in 1894 and has been working for the people of Egglescliffe ever since.

The Parish Council owns and cares for the Village Green at the heart of the old village. It has no Town Hall or other building.
